Crazy Beautiful Mind

Hi there, I’ve been idle and missing in action for quite a while. REASON – I was in a bit confusion regarding – whether or not I’ll stay or leave. I got no choice, I need to decide and finally told myself, I need to, I’m sorry but I need to. For 30 hours more or less awake, red eyes wide opened, haggard-looking, hair uncombed and not even having a goddamn shower for more than a day!  Now, that I will call – uncomfortable, disgusting feeling.

One of my friends booked me and grabbed the cheapest flight ticket available that day, agreeing to it without realizing that I need to wait and stay in Hong Kong (transit) for 21 hours. Just Great!. I agreed. And thought it’ll be fine. Was expecting I will be meeting a friend outside, but because I was too dumb to follow my countrymen I went with them in a queue to ask the guard (she is in between the line so to ask her you need to go with the line). To make the story short I ended up inside the boarding gate area and I cannot go outside from there. My brain is in chaos so yeah, I was a little distracted.

It was horrible to wait like this. I will never do this again.

So back on the topic, I am changing the blog title to

CRAZY BEAUTIFUL MIND

And also the domain/site name from http://www.iamanexpat.com to

http://www.crazybeautiful-mind.com

WHY- because I’ve decided to just stay here (Philippines) and start something new, it took me more than two weeks to arrange things and come up to a new name, even asked a friend for this decision. I’ve chosen this new site name because I have a crazy and at the same time a beautiful mind, will continue to write as usual like poetry, and anything that might bump my head. 😚

Although the beginning and soul of this blog is about me being an expatriate, domain name won’t be related anymore with things I might write or so, as I am an expatriate no more. I hope you’ll still be with me, thanks for the support in advance. ❤❤❤

Take Time to Read

Read-vs-und

I am one of those “newbie” blogger, actually not “that” new but ain’t that professional in this field, it’s just my passion and you might see a lot of grammatical errors on it.

When I was in Blogger before, I don’t pay much attention on followers or whatsoever (I think I only have less than 5 – Geeeezzz), I just wrote whatever I like and doesn’t care if I have readers. Well, I really didn’t care. Then recently I decided to switch to WordPress and it made me fall in-love instantly, first with the themes and how I can neatly play to customize it, then I got likes, followers and great comments. WordPress also offers courses in their Blogging University, and daily activities that will encourage you to write and read other’s work- which I think is Superb!

Last week, I was reading some random blogs when I suddenly bumped into Val Boyko’s post – New Bloggers, Blogging and Life, what she stated was true, some new bloggers now are more concern about the likes and follows rather than the content of their articles. How can you like something you haven’t “really” read? Follow someone then asked them to follow you back? I will honestly say, I love it if someone likes or follows me – of course who doesn’t? But I will be more happy if they also comment or read the content of my blog/article, means they understood and really liked it. Writers/Bloggers will appreciate it more if we can touch your hearts, lives or imagination, it is about reaching out to your readers where they can relate and understand your writings, has the same experience or point of view. For me that’ll be the real purpose of being a true writer.

Thanks and no offense meant, just saying.

Whew! Once again I was nominated by Grabbety Covens and The Shinning Gem for the Mystery Blogger Awards, thanks to you both.  I am really enjoying blogging now than before, overwhelmed that some writers actually give time to read mine, notice it and give amazing comments. Already got 2 nominations, and the other is – Most Active Blog Award, although I felt I wasn’t worthy of these nominations, I still wanna give a big hug and thanks to whom who believes in me. Giving me more eagerness to continue this passion that I have.

OKOTO ENIGMA – who was the creator of Mystery Blog Award, wanted to recognize some great bloggers who truly deserves it. I find this a great way to interact with other writers, build a friendly community and support each other. Thanks for this idea.

THREE THINGS ABOUT MYSELF:
1) I hate Mathematics from the start – and I ended up working as an Admin/Accounts Officer for more than 15 years now. Geez! Life sucks!
2) I am a proud Filipina mother of 3 crazy, lovely kids (1 boy & 2 girls). Had a difficult childhood and a very challenging damn adulthood. Working and living now in the Middle East since 2012, searching for a new path to follow and to support my family back home.
3) I’m a hopeless romantic, a day dreamer, sensitive as fuck, but gives all my heart once you got me. A music lover, enjoys singing and writing poems & stories since I was a teen (which I need to enhance again). I love to travel and see places – the problem is – NO BUDGET for it! LOL!

My questions for me are:
1) What is you favorite book or author?
I honestly stopped reading books for quite some time, once in a while I do, but really don’t have particular favorite author.
2) What was your greatest triumph over adversity to date?
The time I released myself in a situation that doesn’t makes me happy anymore rather than giving me heartache, miseries and burden every day.
3) What is your “anchor” during life’s trials?
My children.
4) Who or what had the most influence in your life?
I think it’s my aunt, she’s my mentor, teach me and gave me opportunities in life.
5) If you were given one wish from a genie, what would you choose
I would have ask, turn back time so I can correct the stupidest decisions I made, but nah! I will just ask “Gimme unlimited money, so that I can give to my family, the needy, and enjoy myself at least before I fucking die!”

And my NOMINEES ARE…. TADAAAAA!

1) Brooklyn’s Corner
2) PLZ DO LIFE
3) Radhika’s Diaries
4) Lebana’s Journal
5) Good Vibes Nation
6) Life Trap
7) Movie Babble Reviews
8) The Caged Bird Sings
9) Divine Spice
10) The Godly Chic Diaries

My Questions for the nominees are:
1) Writers will have bashers at least once, how will you handle it?
2) Running out of ideas to write, what do you do to keep on track.
3) What’s the biggest regret in your life and how you cope up?
4) If you will be given a chance to travel and unwind, which place will you choose, alone or with someone, and why?
5) If Zombie Apocalypse happens right now, what you will do first and how will you survive?

And for my 3 Favorite Posts
1) Romancing My Anxiety
2) An OFW Mom
3) Trending Worldwide – Broken Promises

Well, that’s for now. Again, I’m thanking everyone who encourages me and gives me a lot of reasons to write. Cheers!
